A Prayer to Invoke the Holy Spirit In Your Life

Heavenly Father, How grateful I am to You, for giving me salvation as a free gift of grace through faith in the Lord Jesus. I’m grateful that Your Holy Spirit has resurrected me in Him and formed me into divinity and the body of Christ.

Thank You that He has given me His ownership seal and made Himself a home in my heart to strengthen me in my spiritual walk as He gradually makes me more and more like the Lord Jesus Christ. As I read Your Word or spend time in prayer with You, I pray that the Holy Spirit will lead and guide me in everything and that I will learn to heed the gentle directions of His voice.

Give me the wisdom I need to recognize Your spiritual messages through godly Christians who may be moved to offer guidance or advice, and grant me the grace to hear Your voice as I read the scriptures.

I pray that I follow Your instructions and live a life that pleases You and honors my heavenly Father. I also ask that I keep an open heart and cultivate a teachable spirit. Lord, I beg You to use Your Holy Spirit to enlighten my mind with the truth and provide me with discernment so that I won’t be carried away by shifting doctrines.

I’m grateful for the lessons You are teaching me through Your Word, and I ask that You fill me with a desire to read, study, and internally process everything You want me to know. Direct me towards the way of righteousness and lead me to the whole truth. Help me to learn more about the Lord Jesus so that I can develop my grace. I beg You to guard me against arrogance and grant me the ability to always approach You with humility.

Lord, give me a relationship with You that deepens over time and becomes more glorious. Thank You for the Holy Spirit, who resides within me and guides, comforts, educates, and corrects me. Let  me hear the Holy Spirit so that I can better understand You through Him.

Father, I acknowledge that as a follower of Jesus, my body is the Holy Spirit’s temple. My daily recognition of Your presence makes my faith in You effective. I am convinced that You, heavenly Father, are enlightening my mind and spirit as well as leading and guiding me through my spirit.

I trust that You, Lord, will direct my steps as I submit to the Holy Spirit. I fully commit to Your guidance and trust You to do what is best for me. I look forward to You bringing my thoughts under Your control so that I become one of your most loved children.

Holy Spirit, give me the wisdom I need to make wise decisions in my life. As I face difficult choices in my career, marriage, business, finances, studies, and ministry, please guide me daily with your wisdom. Lord, teach me to not rely solely on my own ideas and opinions.

To make the right decision at the right time, I need your wisdom. Oh Lord, grant me the wisdom to make the right decision. Holy Spirit, You are the Third Person of the Holy Trinity. You are the Spirit of truth, love, and holiness, deriving your authority from the Father and the Son, and you are perfectly equal to them in all respects.

I adore You and am completely devoted to You. Teach me to know and seek God, for whom I was created. Fill my heart with His great love and a holy fear. Give me self – control and endurance, and keep me from sinning.

Holy Spirit, Increase my faith, hope, and charity, and cultivate all the virtues that are appropriate  for me. Help me to develop in Your seven gifts, Your twelve fruits, and Your four cardinal virtues. Make me a devoted disciple of Jesus, a submissive member of the Church, and a helper of my neighbor.

Please grant me the strength to uphold the law and honorably partake in the sacraments. Help me to become holy in the stage of life to which You have called me, and guide me through this journey of life. I want to thank You for everything and reiterate that I never want to be separated from You, no matter how great the material desire may be.

Holy Spirit, You who make me see everything and show me the way to achieve my ideals, You who gave me the divine gift of forgiveness and forgetting the wrong that is done to me, and You who are in all instances of my life with me. I want to be in Your everlasting glory with You.

Holy spirit of God, I thank you for residing in my heart and I praise you because you are holy. I appreciate your involvement in my life. You led me to eternal life, revived my lifeless spirit, and helped me see the truth. I’m grateful.

Today, I’m asking for your support and consolation. You are very aware of my suffering and worries. I appreciate you praying over me. Help me to find comfort in you today. Please, Holy Spirit of God, help me to walk in you. Growing fruitful things in my life: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are all qualities that you instill in me. I need you because I can’t carry out these things on my own.

Make Yourself at home in my heart because You are the only one who can lead me; show me the way to go and the best way to pursue it. Please do not let me cause chaos because  I am weak and sinful. Do not let prejudice or ignorance cause me to act in an unwise manner.

Let me find joy in You so that I can get eternal life and stay on the path of right and truth. I ask You to do all of this because You are always available for me. In the Name of God The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
